Promoting a "Total Safety Culture" is the highest priority for OmniTRAX and its managed companies. This means safety comes first – for associates, customers and the public. The safety programs have been developed and refined through decades of operational experience.

OmniTRAX managed railroads are nationally recognized for our safety record by the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s ("ASLRRA"); consistently winning Jake Certificates with Distinction - awarded to any member railroad with no FRA reportable injuries during the previous year. In 2010, for the first time in history of the ASLRRA, the Panhandle Northern Railroad, an OmniTRAX managed line, won both the "President's Award for Most Improved Safety" and "Safety Person of the Year" award.
