General Summary:
- The successful candidate for this position will serve as the railroad engineering leader for the Chicago Rail Link.
- The Roadmaster is responsible for the planning of all track-related activities including working with the regional management teams to define priorities, establish performance expectations, establish performance metrics and measurements, evaluate performance to plan and the improvement of overall activities in this vital function.
Education/Experience:
- High school education or general education development (GED)
- 3 to 5 years job-related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Candidate should posses a broad understanding of railroad operations.
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering is a plus
Work Environment:
- The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- The position primarily involves in field activities related to management of the engineering department and with some office work.
- In field activity is a routine part of this position duties which at times will exposed the individual to on track equipment, loud noise, moving mechanical parts, diesel fumes, grease and oil smells; weather elements, and other conditions common to an operating railroad environment.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment and be capable of walking up steep inclines and uneven surfaces.
- Office and Field work is estimate at 30% office and 70% field.

General Summary:
- Reporting directly to the OmniTRAX Chief Executive Officer/President, this position is responsible for the revenue growth of OmniTRAX, Inc. and its affiliated managed companies with acute attention to profitability.
- Develops the marketing strategic plan with a focus on maintaining the existing customer base while growing the business organically as well as through attracting new customers and increasing the franchise of the Company.
- Oversees all commercial and revenue management aspects of the Company with the support of a team of regional market managers, industrial development professionals, and analysts.
- Develops and manages long term relationships with customers and service partners that lead to profitable growth and increased cash flow.
- Develops and leads the marketing function as a high performance team to maximize revenue growth and overall business development.
- Works in a cooperative team environment proactively collaborating with operating, financial, and other functional departments as well as the affiliated real estate and energy divisions.
Education/Experience:
- BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance required. Masters in Business Administration, Management, Transportation, Marketing, or Finance preferred.
- Successful candidate will be an experienced executive with a minimum of 10 years related experience typically gained with a Class I, regional or short line railroad, or rail freight provider.
